A Graduation Card and Bookmark

June is a busy month with a lot of graduations, especially the first two weeks of June, including my youngest daughter's and her best friend's graduation. We're neighbors and the girls have known each other since they were toddlers. I'm still working on my daughter's journals because I have a little bit of time due to her wanting to schedule her party later but I needed to get her best friend's card and bookmark done for this week. I was able to get them done in time!

Card for my dear m-i-l

Last year at this time and even for Thanksgiving my dear mother-in-law in a Senior Care Center. She missed being home and we all missed being at her house for the Thanksgiving get-together. We spent a lot of time with her at the Senior Care Center to make it easier on her. Nature and birds are my m-i-l favorite things and I love Chickadees so I drew this picture and made a card for her. The Chickadee is also one of two chickadees that I drew for the header image on my "Chickadee Nest Our Nature Study" blog.

My daughter's 14th birthday card

Orangeblossom's 14th birthday was this past February and I made her birthday card. I had also planned to make her felt snowman for Christmas 2006 but I wasn't able to get it done then and only managed to do so here in February for her birthday.

The quote: "Duty makes us do things well, but love makes us do them beautifully." I'm not sure who said this as I've seen it referenced with the names of three different people.
