The last few hours of summer have slipped away with the warm southern breezes and warmer than usual temperatures along with it. Summer is now officially over as the autumnal equinox began a few minutes ago, 11:09 p.m. to be exact. The "Harvestest Moon" or a "Super Harvest Moon" is here late tonight-early this morning, the first since 1991. Here's why you won't see it again until September 23, 2029.
I've spent the past couple of days enjoying my Sunflowers in my garden, taking pictures of them, marking specific ones for saving seeds and pressing petals for using in the the cards I made to "hold on to summer" a bit longer....
Happy Autumn!!!
DeeJae, We'll try it again. Just typed a msg and rec'd a service disconnection notice. Hmmm. Anyhews...Enjoyed popping over to see your new ATC's you've made using some of my images. That was so sweet of you to let me know. Love your sunflowers...and what a fun and creative way to hold onto summer! I also loved the looks of that linky set you have on your sidebar. Will have to come back and do some more exploring! Xo, Sue

I love your combination of images and sunflowers, Deb :) What a great way to "hold on to summer" for a while:)
ReplyDeleteOh Deb, These are absolutely wonderful. I love it that you've captured summer to be enjoyed year-round in your artwork. I can't thank you enough for your wonderful blog comment. As you've seen, I've been missing for a while....just feeling burnt out somehow. Your message touched me very much and inspired me to find a way to get blogging again. Thank you for your kindness and keep creating wonderful works.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your kind words. I love how our individual art touches each other as persons; stimulates a desire inside us to respond or express with more art. I'm just a beginner and I don't get to spend as much time on my art as I'd like so I appreciate each of you stopping by. I look forward to checking back with all you at your blogs. :-)
ReplyDeleteHi DeeJae! You have a beautiful site! I love the sunflowers. I love your artwork...very talented! You should try the rug hooking...it's relaxing! Enjoy the season!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Yvette
