This is a first for me, some thing new to me. I had never heard of these OR seen one until this autumn season when we went to the Pumpkin Patch a few weeks ago. Can you guess what this is?
I have seen this before I think. If it smell like citrus but is unedible is it ornamental orange or ???? Darn, I can't remember the name! Jackfruit? Ugh I give!
You're correct about the citrus smell and being unedible. It's a hedge apple. I didn't know what it was. I had to ask the lady at the Pumpkin Patch what is was. I think they're so neat, very different. I bought about 10 of them to put around our house and I gave a few to my mom. We're testing them to see if they repel insects. I've read conflicting information about them being poisonous. Some say they are, some say they aren't so I'm not sure about that. I'd like to grow a tree. Thanks for guessing! :-)
