What Can I Do With An Old Poetry Book?

Make an altered book of course. I've had this old poetry book, Little Masterpieces of English Poetry, Odes, Sonnets, and Epigrams for a long time. It's a smaller book that measures 4 1/2 X 6 1/2 inches and has spots, dings and a loose binding so it's not a very nice copy but I just can't throw it in the trash.

So instead of an altered book I'm going to make a journal for my youngest daughter who graduated last week. I made my older daughter three journals for a graduation gift four years ago and I've wanted to do some thing similar for my youngest daughter. Here I am without any journals for her yet so it's going to become a journal for her. This is the start of it--pages taken out of the binding/cover and are ready for Gesso and painting:

To be continued...
