Personal Family Seasonal Changes

It's been a while since I've been able to be on the computer. Some of the reason I've been away has been due to my new job. After 20 years as a work-at-home mom I am now employed (as of Sept 6th) outside the home which is a great blessing. The transition of getting familiar with a new work situation exists and is a bit stressful but of the positive kind so I'm am very thankful for my new job.

Recently though, the biggest reason for my absence, is that my husband has been ill - in and out of the hospital two times since September 26th. This of course, was unplanned so I'm learning to balance a new job and help care for him by getting him to doctor appointments, seeing that he can rest and recuperate. He'll be off work until at least November 7th, perhaps longer. My days are filled with more than I anticipated and they are a odd combination of both joy and sadness but they have all been planned for me by my Heavenly Father who is all-wise and merciful. I have peace within my heart and know that He will be with me through the days to come. "As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after Thee, O God." Psalm 42:1

When I can, as time allows, I want to add some pictures of the Journal Swap I participated in earlier in September which will be a way to get back to my art. For now, we're enjoying the beautiful display of Autumn colors in our area now along with warm days and bright sunshine. My husband, daughter and I went to a local farm and orchard this afternoon to buy pumpkins and apples. My daughter has been busy baking - the aroma of Pumpkin Pie is every where throughout the house right now and delicious homemade Caramel Taffy Apples are waiting in the refrigerator. I have to go take a look and yes, get one of those Caramel Taffy Apples!

  2. Sorry to hear your husband is sick. That is a tough thing to have to go through. Hope they find out soon what the problem is. I am back to work, too, the 2nd year teaching outside the home. Seems sort of odd, but I am enjoying it. Missing having more time to do art, though. Thanks for stopping in at my blog. It is good to hear from you. I'll be praying for your hubby. Love the Thanksgiving cards you posted. I'll have to try to think up some way to use them. Blessings,
    Tricia
